As the owner's engineer for the Jungbunzlauer Canada Plant in Port Colborne, ON, ORAO oversees every major facility and system expansion by providing support for 115 kV system capacity increase applications, system design, procurement specification and support, system studies and ESA approvals. Currently, our scope for the largest expansion is:
- Preparation, Coordination and Submission of SIA application for new capacity application
- Drafting of technical specifications and system drawings
- Design of new P&C scheme for Main Transformer Station including modifications to existing P&C system
- Procurement support for new 33 MVA 115 - 13.8 kV transformers and circuit breakers
- Design and procurement support for the expansion of the Main 13.8 kV E-House
- Preparation and submission of engineering documentation for ESA plan review (Main Station and new manufacturing plants)
- Distribution design, procurement and commissioning support for Canada's first Xanthan biogum manufacturing plant and new mechanical recompression (MVR) facility
- Ground grid design and studies for new facilities
- Commissioning of new P&C system and components
- Overseeing SAT of new major distribution equipment
- Planning for future power capacity applications and facility expansions
- Comprehensive arc flash study & Arc Flash Protection Management Program (AFPMP)
